The Chariton of Street Department provides operational services to the City of Chariton and its residents. Operational services include street and sewer maintenance, street cleaning, drainage facilities, City building and equipment maintenance and snow removal.  The Street Superintendent is Dave VanRyswyk.

Solid waste and recycling collection in the City of Chariton is setup individually be each resident with the permitted hauler of your choice.
